Design and technology company known for innovative and high-performig lacrosse gear signs on with Justin Guterding of the PLL

MINNEAPOLIS (May 27, 2022) – Epoch Lacrosse, a U.S. design and technology company that specializes in game-changing lacrosse gear, is proud to announce their partnership with Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) player Justin Guterding. An attackman for the Whipsnakes and a member of the PLL since its inaugural season, Guterding is set to become an Epoch Athlete as he heads into his 5th year pro and 4th year of the PLL.

A constant presence on the field and dominant over opposing defenses, Guterding continues to confirm his status as an elite player. As a part of the new partnership, Epoch will provide gear for Guterding ahead of the upcoming 2022 PLL season. He will be playing with a custom Epoch Dragonfly carbon fiber shaft and the brand-new Z-Three head. Guterding will also be protected by Epoch’s innovative Integra Protective gear.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the Epoch family. The innovation and technology they are bringing to the sport is really exciting and I am pumped to be a part of it,” said Guterding. “Being comfortable in equipment and having the ability to perform at my peak is obviously most important, and Epoch certainly has figured out the formula there, and I can’t wait to rep it for the next 3 years and hopefully for the rest of my career!”

A stand-out Duke attackman from the beginning of his collegiate career, Guterding was named as the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2015. During four years as a Blue Devil Guterding racked up 3 All-American awards, was a 3x All-ACC selection, earned ACC Player of the Year and ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year awards in 2018, and became the NCAA’s all-time leading goal scorer with 212 goals. Transitioning into professional lacrosse, Guterding finished his first year in 2019 at the Chrome LC with 43 points. He was named to the PLL All-Star Team in 2019 while also earning a spot as a nominee for the Welles Crowther Humanitarian for the year. Continuing to grow into his role as a dominating force on the offense, he scored 10 goals and handed out 6 assists in the 2020 Championship Series while garnering 6 goals and 3 assists for the Whipsnakes in 2021.

“As we look to grow our Epoch family, we cannot imagine a better fit than a versatile and talented attackman like Justin,” said James Miceli, Principal of Epoch Lacrosse. “His experience giving back to the lacrosse community and paving the way on the field makes him someone we are excited to partner with, and we look forward to collaborating with him as Epoch continues to innovate into the future.”
